Quick commerce in Bengaluru means delivering for Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BB Now, Flipkart Minutes or Amazon Now. Pay models differ a lot: per packet, a service fee, block pay or order earnings plus incentives. Riders' own reports include around ₹700 a day at Swiggy Instamart and ₹21,000 gross for one long week at Zepto.
How the quick commerce companies differ
- Blinkit: your own two-wheeler, an Android phone, age 18 or above; background verification and onboarding training first.
- Zepto: an adult Indian resident with no criminal conviction or pending case; you bring a smartphone and a two-wheeler and pay their running costs, unless Zepto provides a cycle or e-cycle.
- Swiggy Instamart: bike, e-bike or cycle, renting allowed; no driving licence needed on a cycle or EV. Part-time or full-time shifts.
- BB Now: the bigbasket delivery rider app, a smartphone, identity proof for profile verification and training before you start.
- Flipkart Minutes: an electric two-wheeler; in some cities you can rent one through Flipkart's EV Assist. Verification and training happen in the app.
- Amazon Now: delivery blocks, usually 4 hours long, booked in the Amazon Flex app; a 2-wheeler or e-bike and a helmet.
How quick commerce pays, and what riders reported
How each company pays:
- Blinkit: per packet, plus incentives for weight and distance; paid weekly.
- Zepto: a service fee worked out from distance, time taken, demand, traffic, weather and customer rating; paid weekly (or another set period) after taxes, and tips are passed on.
- Swiggy Instamart: order earnings plus incentives and bonuses, visible in the app every day and paid weekly.
- Amazon Now: pay per delivery inside the block earnings, and waiting time between deliveries is paid as part of the block minimum pay.
- Flipkart Minutes: payouts are not linked to delivery speed; festive-season joining and retention bonuses and referral incentives.
What Bengaluru riders reported (reported examples, one account each, not fixed rates):
- Blinkit: most workers Deccan Herald spoke to in January 2026 said they earn up to ₹400 extra a day when they meet daily targets. That is incentive on top of order pay, not total earnings.
- Swiggy Instamart: one rider told Deccan Herald in January 2026 he made around ₹700 a day, down from ₹1,300, and that surge orders no longer pay extra.
- Zepto: ₹17,109 for 5 to 11 January 2026 (an average of ₹2,444 a day), shared on Instagram.
- Zepto: ₹21,000 gross for 29 September to 5 October 2025, shared on Reddit, after 387 orders on 12-hour shifts (10 am to 10 pm) every day; about ₹18,906 was left after fuel.
Who quick commerce suits
- You have no bike: Swiggy Instamart takes a cycle or a rented vehicle, Zepto may provide a cycle or e-cycle, and Flipkart Minutes riders can rent an EV through EV Assist in some cities.
- You have no driving licence: Instamart doesn't need one if you deliver by cycle or EV.
- You want fixed blocks of time: Amazon Now works in blocks, usually 4 hours long.
- You can ride long days: the Zepto rider who reported ₹21,000 gross worked 12-hour shifts every day; long hours and fuel costs come with that figure.
- You have your own two-wheeler: Blinkit asks for one, and its per-packet model adds incentives for weight and distance.
Ask about fees before you join
- Blinkit: a one-time joining fee during onboarding, shared at the interview.
- Zepto: possible onboarding and training fees (plus taxes) and a refundable security deposit, taken from payouts.
- Swiggy Instamart: an onboarding fee that varies by city and store, paid once or in instalments; the amount shows in the partner app.
